How the leaderboard works
The leaderboard is optional: it exists for players who enjoy comparing results. Guests can play the full game; only authenticated users have scores persisted for ranking.
Why sign in
We attach scores to your account so names stay consistent and results can load from our database (Firebase/Firestore). Without an account, your puzzle is still valid—it simply is not stored for public ranking.
Score views
- Total score: emphasises overall performance across completed games, weighted by difficulty and quality of solve.
- Quickest: highlights fast completion times for competitive speed-focused players.
- Completed: recognises volume of finished puzzles—great for tracking consistency.
Time periods
Filters such as day, month, year, or all-time let you compare recent hot streaks against long-term standings. Use them to set personal goals (this month vs last month) rather than only chasing all-time #1.
Fair play
The game is meant to be solved with logic. Automated solvers, grid injection, or other exploits undermine trust for everyone. We may adjust or remove suspicious entries if abuse is detected.
Hints and integrity
Hints are part of the product for learning, but they lower your score multiplier so leaderboard positions favour players who solve with minimal assistance.
Open the live leaderboard from the navigation menu whenever you want to see current standings. Combine it with the Difficulty levels page to pick a fair challenge tier.
